NOTICES:February 5th
TONIGHT 6pm at St David’s, Paul Chandler, the chief executive of Traidcraft will be coming to speak at a special evening prayer with words and music on the theme of trade justice

This morning we are delighted to welcome members of the Nun's chorus from the Exeter Musical Society, who are rehearsing for a production of the Sound of Music. They will be singing a short piece during Communion which they had been practising in St David's before Christmas as they wanted to get the feel of singing this music in a church setting. But, of course, it is very different with the congregation present so we invited them to join us this morning. We hope they will enjoy being with us

Lent Groups will take place for five weeks starting from the week commencing Monday 27 February. There is a leaflet about this – please make sure that you take one with you because it also contains details about all services during Lent, Holy Week and Easter. Also there is a notice at the back for you sign up for a group

If you cant make the 5th we are going to meet every week YES EVERY WEEK for six weeks so that’s 12, 19, 26 Feb and 4 and 11 March

St David’s Day falls on a Thursday this year so we will celebrate at the 10:30am service that day. There will be cakes afterwards so please see if you can come along and join in the celebration

Date of Confirmation: Sunday 17 June with Bishop Martin Shaw. We will be having classes for children from year 6 and upwards, and for adults

We have made a provisional booking for a trip to Taizé this year for the week beginning 18/19 August. It is for young people aged 15 and above. Taizé is a religious community on France with a beautiful and distinctive form of worship. Please speak to Tom if you are interested in this

If you are a qualified first aider, please could you let Sue Wilson know. We may well never call on you but it would be a great help in an emergency. We are also looking into first aid training for those who need it

Jill Woodman, Jane’s daughter, is running the London Marathon in April, in aid of Sightsavers. She would much appreciate any sponsorship large or small. Forms are at the back of the church during February, or ring Jane on 273889. Thank you. Jane W oodman
